I had almost succumbed to the fact that I wasn't going to be able to put in my dream stairs as I was told what I wanted wasn't possible. One final attempt with a random google search and I found AJD. Being from Ballydesmond, Co.Cork I had never heard of AJD but going by the impressive photos on the website and facebook page, I knew that this was worth some further investigation. We entered Drumdowney, Slieverue into google maps and took a road trip to meet Alan and his team in their workshop. Alan couldn't have been more helpful and genuinely in tune with what I wanted and my overall vision. On route home that evening, we visited a similar stairs AJD had done previously to put our minds at ease (as we had never heard of AJD or didn't know anyone who had used them previously). I sent Alan some pictures that I had found on Pinterest, the same ones that other stairs makers told me were non runners for my available budget. Straight away Alan had suggestions and we agreed on a design, a price and a timeframe which suited us both. From start to finish AJD were professional and Alan's attention to detail is second to none. I think that is what sets him apart. The stairs took about 3 days to fit and you would never know that there was any building work taking place in the hallway - the team left the floor cleaner than when they had arrived. We honestly cannot recommend AJD enough and we would be happy to talk to anyone who is interested in learning more.
