Steel string stairs - Irish Wake Museum, Cathedral Square, Waterford
This steel string stairs is a careful blend of charcoal oak and black steel. It seemlessly integrates with the 15th century stone walls of this former Almshouse. The central sletted oak wall, over three floors, creates an unexpected warmth and tactility while providing an illusion of space within this intimate area.
We are delighted to have been commissioned to deliver the internal fit out at Irelands oldest urban domestic building.
Designed, manufactured, prefinished and installed in the Irish Wake Museum, Cathedral Square, Waterford.
